(happy) BIRTHDAY.

Well. It's happening.
And, there's no stopping it now...because believe me, I've tried.

I thought for a second, if I closed my eyes...I might just be 25 again...yeah, 25.
Now, that was a good year...

Wrong. It's definitely happening.

Gosh, can't you remember the days when you WISHED to be older?
(No doubt, those days are definitely gone.)

*sigh* I'll get over it, I assume...
Besides, I have to stay strong for Grady. He'll be agonizing over the very same thing in just a few more days. :)

  6. I loved my 20s but they cannot even begin to compare to the awesomeness that has been my 30s. I cannot wait to find out if 40 will be even better!

  7. Old lady talking...will be 60 next year. I was of the generation that said not to trust anyone over 30 so I've been untrustworthy for a while now.:-) As we ALL learn, age is just a number and how you feel in your heart and in your head is what matters. When you stop wanting to learn about new things or when you start going backwards in your thinking, that is when you become old. And maybe, for some people, that is their comfort.
when people start putting anyone in a compartment, like, "these young kids nowadays" or "those helicopter moms", or "those long haired hippies", that is when things become limiting; when other people try to pin you down.
We all get older if we are LUCKY and no one gets out of this alive. So smile and be happy that the adventure continues!
As long as you wnat to learn

  8. I remember crying when I turned 30....but girl, when I turned 50 I was so depressed. I made my family take me to the mountains so I could mourn. We had a birthday party and I put 39 on the cake. I was in bitter denial. I told the kids from that day on never to ask again how old their dad and I were. We would be forever 39. But seriously, I feel even better than I did at 30 so I guess it's not worth worrying about. Happy Birthday.

  12. Happy birthday! I turn 36 is less than a month and I'm not excited about moving into my "late 30s". I'm not sure why it's bothering me because my 30s have been great so far!

  13. I 'll be 50 in November, and I think I might like 50 just as much a 30, just in a different way!

  16. I don't really remember ever wishing to be older, but I can say with all certainty I'm not wishing for that now!
