Things have certainly changed around here.
My happy-go-lucky thrifting ways have definitely slowed down. Most often you'll see me nursing or pulling up pull-ups or calming down the baby...then maybe tieing shoes or wiping up spit-up...and calming down the baby...or maybe reading stories, putting on jackets...and calming down the baby.
I'll be honest with you, it's been non-stop. I barely have time to breathe...and when I do have time to breathe, I'm still holding a baby.
Of course, this little one melts my heart at the very sight of him...but I'd be lying if I told you he was easy.
We'll get there. I know.
But, I just wanted you to know, I'm still here.
Eventhough I may be a bit slow at getting back in the swing of things, I don't plan on going anywhere.

Awwww!!! They are so beautiful!! His big grin, adorable!! Two is quite a transition. I have a 3 & 2 year old, so when my son was born my daughter was 18months. Even though my son slept through the night, ect just getting out and going its a new type of planning. Have to pack for not just one anymore but two. Then we had to plan around feedings. lolol But you will get the groove again and we will be here when you get that groove! ;)
ReplyDeleteI remember those days...
ReplyDeletethey are just so precious.....family is the most important thing, and you need to do things in your own time and look after yourself and those beautiful children....they grow so quickly, and you want to capture as much time and as many memories, and enjoy every moment while they are small...mine are 23,21,20 and 18, and I'm sure it was only yesterday that they were as little as yours!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful! Many congratulations!
ReplyDeleteHe's beautiful! And life has its stages. You'll "get there". You ARE there!
ReplyDeleteRight there with you these days!

Aww.. Thanks for the peek at your sweet babies...
ReplyDeleteSo sweet! Just enjoy, your so lucky : ) My babies are all grown up and I miss that sooo much!
ReplyDeleteYou take care of those babies and yourself. A blog should be no pressure so don't you worry bout a thing! BTW my second which was also a boy...totally rocked my world and was nothing like my first little girl.
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness this is my life exactly right now! How old is baby? Mine is 3 1/2 weeks (baby boy #3) and suddenly none of my kids are "easy" anymore. I'm with ya girl.
ReplyDeleteThey are precious and grow up too fast! Good luck with it all!
XOXO,
Mallory @ Classy Clutter
5 weeks old...and yes, he has CERTAINLY rocked my world! Glad to know I'm in good company! Congratulations to YOU!
DeleteGuess this time I really should of come to be the nanny instead of just a virtual one. It will pass, but it could come back, then you will blink and the last thing you are worried about is a fussy baby.

We've all been there one way or the other. The most important thing in your life is your absolutely precious babies. This special time goes by so fast and you wish you could have that special time again. You can't get those times back.
ReplyDeleteI had my first baby just a few days before I turned 20. 3 full months before I turned 24 I had my 3rd. The boys are 16 months apart. How I wish I could do things again and very differently. They were so precious. I Look at pics of them and it's like yesterday. They're all grown up with almost grown kids of their own now, how time flies by. Life happens but we have choices how we spend those times. I told our youngest daughter (#4) these same things and she listened and is very glad she did.
I got tears in my eyes looking at the picture of you with your new baby and little girl. So beautiful. We can wait out here in blog land but those sweeties can't. Happy Spring
Thank you for that...
Deletethose pictures are prescious. and i would expect that with a new little man in the pictures, things would have to slow down in some areas because you have your hands full. enjoy your time with him even when it's hard.
ReplyDeleteGirl, I get it! Nursed all my babies and when you have an older one you just have to keep moving. I will say a prayer for you. You all look beautiful! (that's some awesome hair you've got) In no time at all he'll be telling you "Mommy, You are 100 pretty!" Much Love, Amanda @ www.mommyiscoocoo.com mommyiscoocoo@gmail.com
ReplyDeleteCongrats on your little one. People don't realize how different bringing home number 2 is than just having a number one! Hang in there...it all falls into place...eventually!
ReplyDeleteTake your time! My 2nd is 1 and I feel like I am just starting to live real life again.
ReplyDeleteWe've missed you but totally understand. You're 'fill-ins' are great and I have started following at least 1/3 of them. If I ever take the plunge for #2...I'll never have time to follow blogs. Man it seems like so much work but I need to just dive in and do it. I'm sure as hell not getting any younger. Take care and stay strong. This next 6-9 mo will be rough but it will get better, right? No, I know it will;)
ReplyDeletea big congratulations on the new baby ! You will get back it will go by faster than you realize. Enjoy the baby moments while they last.
ReplyDeleteYou're blog is really interesting. I'm just starting a blog similar to yours, it has to do with living a thrifty lifestyle. I'm trying to find some avid bloggers to be guests on my blog. The blog is niftythrifter.com, let me know if you're interested because you look like a good writer!
