Knock-Off Anthropologie Letters

Happy New Year, guys!  I hope everyone had a splendid holiday! Time to get back in the swing of things around here, and I've got the perfect project for it!

As you know, I've been working on the laundry room the last few months . . . trying to add a little something to the bare walls. I ran across this project by Kristen Davis Designs a long time ago . . . thinking how fun and easy it looked! And after doing it (a bit different than she did) . . . it was even easier than I imagined!

I started with plain cardboard letters from Hobby Lobby at $2.50 a piece.

Then, spray painted them.

Lastly, I sanded them a bit to take the shine out.

And, what's best of all, the letters are so light weight, all you need to hang them are Command strips!

I'm quite thrilled.

DIY Laundry Room Display

Do you remember these little finds?

I knew I wanted to use them somehow in the laundry room . . . so the other day I did a little photo session with Ross . . . and a basket of laundry.  These are a few of the snapshots I got.

Then, I Mod Podged each picture to a canvas the same size.

This was part of our laundry room BEFORE . . .

A few things to get started with . . .

I'd been eyeing the exact sign for the longest time (although in aqua), and low and behold, it popped up in Ross for like 6 bucks!  You better believe, I snatched it right up! 

This is a flea market find from last year.  A little more than I wanted to pay . . . but, I think it'll totally be worth it in the end.
