Another go-to for me in thrifting is a mirror.
I feel like you can invariably find a spot for them, so I've always got my eye out for a fun shape or unusal design.
I've had my mind set on a mirror wall in the dining room...maybe even one that I can continuously add to?
It's in the works...
love finding mirrors at the thrift store! they can be put on the wall or used as a tray...
ReplyDeleteHow fun! I didn't even think to use one of them as a tray!!
DeleteI love antique and vintage mirrors. We have an old one in our house, with weathered brass frames. It has tiny splotches characteristic of old mirrors, but it still retains its charm, in a different light. It's a family heirloom, and I had friends who came over wanting to buy it, but I'm not selling it. Instead, I directed them to some DIY guides I found on how to make newly bought mirrors look antiquated. How do you feel about antiquating a mirror? Thanks for sharing the lovely pictures!

How wonderful! It sounds amazing! ...and I'd antique something in a heartbeat! You never know until you try!!
DeleteI went to the thrift store today JUST to find mirrors and didn't find any at all. I'm wanting to but some behind our headboard ... I did find a lot of other good deals though, I'm going to make up a Secondhand Treasure Saturday Post for awhile to see if others want to join the fun - thrifted stuff is the best.
ReplyDeleteHow cool! Haha! That always seems to happen to me too! You always find the best stuff when you're least expecting it!
