Paint strips are free so people can sample paint colors. Not for people to take for the sole purpose of using in craft projects. I just don't understand how people are okay with this.
What?! This is brilliant! I guess I've found a new blog to add to my reading list! Also, Erinlouise6, plenty of people get paint strips, don't find a color they like and throw PILES of them away, how is that any better than actually putting them to good use? I'm pretty sure Home Depot doesn't care about the fraction of a cent it costs to make these. Why don't you get upset about something legitimate like the starving children in the world?
I think I would also feel guilty for taking all those samples from a store... I do however have a bunch in my drawer that I have saved up from past home painting projects. So those I would use!
A lot of paint stores sell paint "fans" for a couple of dollars. It will have every paint strip they make in it. The paint manufacturers update them every years or two, so sometimes you can get a free fan. Go to a real paint store to get one, not a big box hardware store.
Just found your site through pintrest. Wow, that is such an awesome idea!
ReplyDeleteThis is an awesome idea. I just made a post about using paintstrips and ribbon to make cute bookmarks.
