We've had this empty box sitting in our garage for months now. I finally got it down last week, thinking Ross could figure out something to do with it.
But, what started with a couple holes . . .
turned into a lot of decoupage!
I painted some sheets of card stock several shades of aqua,
then decoupaged them on the box.
(I did the same thing with the roof.)
Later, I painted the inside of the box black . . .
to frame out a Dollar Tree mirror I found.
And, after a few more last minute details . . .
it was ready for play.

Adorable! Our local appliance store used to let anyone come and take empty boxes from their recycle pile out back, but alas... no longer. I'm going to have to go buy something big :)

this is so fun! we always have leftover cardboard from SOMETHING, so this would be a blast with my almost 2 year old (which favors your little lady who is precious by the way). thanks for sharing...you've officially inspired me. :)

Love this!! You did a fantastic job : ) I made a cardboard kitchen set for my youngest this summer after we moved and had tons of boxes around. I skimped with just white duct tape and a sharpie marker though ; )

Holly - is there a reason you feel the need to have the word verification enabled for your comments?
ReplyDeleteBecause, quite honestly, it has become increasingly challenging in blogger to leave a comment with the word verification. Like takes me 2 or 3 tries to leave a comment. Honestly, you're in the tribe so I try extra hard to get that comment posted ... but I think you may be missing some awesome blogger relationships with that truly annoying word ver enabled ...
Just saying ... and suggesting ...
You know I admire and enjoy and love your blog ...
