Home Tour: The Family Room

Grady and I have lived in this house for almost 3 years now.  I was so excited that I started planning the color scheme even before we moved in.  I got on an orange and green kick long before we bought the house, and I'm happy to say, I still love it today.  (You'll see even more of this in the kitchen.)  There's something about bright colors that have always made me feel good . . . they're fun and energetic.

A friend once told me upon walking in the door,  ". . . it just makes me feel happy!"

Put simply, there's been no better compliment than that.

(Wall color: This wall color was actually already on the walls when we moved in, and unfortunately the the (Sherwin Williams) can that was left by the previous owners didn't have any sort of color information listed on it at all.  However, after using my handy Sherwin Williams paint swatch book, the color "Butternut" matches up almost perfectly.) Pin It Now!

  15. Now that "they" have decided that all walls should be painted white -and the color for this year is pine green, what are you going to do about all that ugly orange paint that they told you last year to paint everything with?
