Any ideas?

So, I ran across this bag of goodies last week at the thrift store...immediately drawn to the color.
I first thought, oh fun! a bag full of tiny embriodery hoops...

or maybe little frames?

but, upon examining them further, I realized that wasn't so.
After researching the cabone rings, I found that they are some sort of knitting accessory...but I just can't figure out the colored hoops.

I'm at a loss.
But, I thought, for $1, they can surely be used for something!

Any thoughts?
Surely somebody out there's seen these before?

  3. They look like hoops you would use to make macrame wall hangings from.

  4. they are tiny frames - they came with cross stitch kits ---- i have bags of them myself, because I always stitched the finishes into stuff ornaments

  6. String them up on fishing line and hang them as a screen or room divider (sort of like a macrame screen would be). Would look great on a porch.
