A Monogram Project

This was an easy project I ended up doing last fall for our front door.
I found this large embroidery hoop at a thrift store for $1.

Next, using a Word Doc. stencil (much like I did in THIS project), I traced our monogram on a piece of burlap . . .
. . . then painted it with black fabric paint.
And, finally, simply put the burlap in the hoop.

So easy, y'all!

Pin It Now!

  22. I can't seem to figure out how you hung it on the door. Please share. :)

  23. There should be enough space on the back of your hoop to simply hang it on a nail . . . or possibly a "command" hook on your door? I used a nail.

    I hope this helps! :)

  27. Hello! I love your patterns, I did a test run of this Rarity (to put on a fleece hat) but I ran into some trouble. It seemed as if the pattern shifted (the body outline) and the mane/tail had issues. I think it was something that was wrong with my fabric/stabilizer. Do you have any tips for embroidering on fleece?

  28. Really impressive. I'm always inspired embroidered monogram but feel that I may lack the patience to apply myself properly. I love your colour combinations.
