I absolutely LOVE having a mantel! It always needs changing, which in turn gives me an excuse to decorate something!
Old records are way easy to find at the thrift stores, which certainly came in handy for this project! After hunting down some fun Christmas varieties . . .
Oh, my goodness, do I love Christmas!!
UPDATE!

ReplyDeleteI just wanted to let you know that I found your blog on Q.A. Designs post about the disng they did for it.... I am in love with your blog now! I am an avid thrifter and seeing some of your projects has completely inspired me! This one especially. This weekend I picked up a bunch of records from my favorite thrift store and I will be making not one, but two of these! One to go above our bed and one Christmas one to use this year!
ReplyDeleteThank you so much for the inspiration! I cannot wait to get started!

P.S. I also did the sun/pallet art! My only difference was that I added You Are My Sunshine instead of Hello since it was going in my boys' room!
I'm so glad to hear it! Thanks so much!!
DeleteI actually have Christmas albums from my childhood (60-70's). Instead of gluing them to a board ... I went to the craft store and bought album frames. ($5 a piece) Since I don't have a fireplace, I plan to hang them as wall art. Thanks for the inspiration!
