Peace Sign Art

For some reason, I got in my head that instead of a wreath, I wanted a peace sign on our front door this year.  I searched around hoping to be able to find one already made, but found that the only one I really wanted was way beyond my budget.
So, once again I pulled out the plywood.

After a quick coat of paint, I drew my peace sign . . .

and painted it green.

I sanded it down to beat it up a bit . . .

then hung it on the door.

I'll conclude, there's not too many things better than a peace sign.

  1. did you just freehand the peace sign? because it looks pretty perfect. you could put this in a kids' room during the year...super cute. smith needs one.

  2. I love it!!! What a great idea! And I especially love that you hung it on your front door! Too cute!

  3. I forgot to tell you that I love your peace sign. It reminds me of a recycle sign that I wanted to make for my kitchen re-vamp but never did. I have been looking for one to buy but of course can't find one. That's how I usually end up making everything. Wouldn't a recycle sign like this in the kitchen be cool? That way everyone knows not to throw their recyclables away? I am still surprised at how many people don't recycle. I do love the peace sign to. Major cool.

  4. Love the green chairs with the red pots and trees. The whole thing looks great!
