Well, here we are again...back in the playroom. If you remember the first post a couple weeks ago, I explained what a horrific sight it was...and all the changes that had to be made. This was what I started with...
Over the past couple of weeks, I've spent most of my nap times painting. And, maybe it's a bit of a shocker...but I chose white. Hailstorm Grey by Valspar, to be exact. Not my usual style, I know, but I'm pretty excited about it!
When I walk inside, it looks so much more bright and open...I just feels good.
I've got a lot of decorating yet to do, that's for sure...but I know I'm headed in the right direction.
On to step 2...
Don't forget about all my buds...working just as hard as me!
ooooh i love it!!!! it's so much lighter and brighter! what a difference paint makes.
ReplyDeleteThe light color in that room really works! I think because it has slanty ceilings it just really helps to open up the space and unify the walls and ceiling. Plus, it will be so fun to accesorize w/ lots of pops of color! I can't wait to see what you do next.

Hmmm....Laura has used grey, too. I see a trend.

ReplyDeleteYAY!!! I think that color is the perfect backdrop for what is sure to be a colorful play room. Great progress, Holly!!
ReplyDeleteThe color is awesome! I love it, and I'm a little jealous, I haven't even cracked open my wall paint yet :)
ReplyDeleteGood first step!
ReplyDeleteYes, the white paint surprised me, but I love it! The space seems so bright and open. Can't wait to see the layers!
ReplyDeleteI want that white pedestal table you have in the corner SO BAD!!!!!
ReplyDeleteThis is getting exciting!! At least someone can make a decision on paint color and stick with it!! :)
ReplyDeleteI love love love the "color" it is perfect. The room seriously looks twice the size! You inspire me!! I am so proud you went for it I need to paint our master bedroom and the choice has me immobilized. Nice job Beth at secondhandmom.
ReplyDeleteThanks so much! Good luck with the painting...I know it's a lot of work and hard decision-making...but it's worth it!
DeleteLove that a change in paint color can make such a huge difference, don't you? Amazing how light and bright it feels! Great progress already, Holly!
