We actually just went ahead and put nails in the siding...the holes aren't all too big- so I don't think it's too much of a big deal if we were to take it off eventually...

This is so cute. You are very creative and what a great ideal for the porch. I just recently tried my hand at making chalk board paint in different colors and made each of my grandkids a mini travel chalk board. Will be posting pictures on my blog soon. Thank you for sharing.
