$50 Home Depot Giveaway & Bookshelf REVEAL!

If you remember, I told you last week I was participating in Apartment Guide's "Repurpose or Recycle: Environmentally Friendly Tips for Renters" Blogger Program. I hope you've had a chance to go by and visit! I was excited to see all the photos, floor plans and tips to help you search for green apartment communities. It's really amazing!

Here's a recap of my project...the old bookshelf I recycled.

You gave me so many tips, tricks and ideas! I was overwhelmed by your creativity! Thank you! When it came down to it, I chose to paint it...using chalk paint, something I've never done before.
I found this recipe, which consisted of:
1 cup flat paint & 2 tablespoons of unsanded tile grout

I primed the shelf.
I mixed my recipe and painted 2 coats of the white chalk paint.
Then, I sanded it to my liking.

I love, love, love how it turned out! The color seems so much more rich and milky. It's fabulous...and more importantly, much more fitting in the nursery.

I'm still working on what's actually on the shelf...but here's a little teaser...

Sooooo....are you ready for the winner of the $50 Home Depot Giveaway?!?!?!
Based on Random.org, the winner is....

Congratulations, lucky number 58:
