The Old Travel Bag

While on hiatus, I came across this old piece of luggage. Originally, I had thoughts of redoing it with fabric, but then changed my mind at the last minute. Plus, I was a bit curious whether or not spray paint would work...

So, after loading it down with painters tape and a quick plastic primer spray, I covered it in Rustoleum's "Candy Pink."

I'd imagine you can guess who it now belongs to...

And, from what I can tell, the spray paint worked wonderfully. It's held up surprisingly well through all the bumps and bruises that princes and princesses seem to make...

Pin It Now!

  5. I love the organization of this. I should look around here and see if my inlaws have anything like this just lying around. Turned out great!

  10. Back in the days when people actually used these they were called train cases, I used one when I got married the first time to go on our wedding trip. I don't have that one but I do have 4 others I found in MT and KY. I store this and that in them from time to time. Think it's time to get them out of storage and fix a couple of them up.
Yours is in wonderful shape, like new still, the inside is gorgeous. Think I'll store my belts in them. They can look cute in bedroom and be useful also. Glad to know you used plastic primer, will have to get myself some. Will get some Rustoleum spray paint also. That's so cute how your daughter is using it for her Barbies, what better use could there be? Happy Days
