Vintage Sheets

Here lately, vintage sheets have been up there with mason jars in my book. I'm in love with their cheery patterns and bright designs. I can't seem to get enough of them...
Currently, I have a little project going with them, but there's so much fabric! I know I could get several projects out of them!

What kind of fun projects have you done with vintage sheets?

  1. I'm also an avid vintage sheet collector. You can't beat the price for the amount of cute fabric you get! Last year I made a bunch of re-usable shopping bags with them, and last week I made a dress.

  3. I've made curtains and pillows from them before or just used them back when I had a twin bed. I got 6 unopened vintage sheet sets from an auction once and I LOVED them! Totally wore them out because I used them so much!

  4. I love finding nice crisp vintage sheets when I go to garage sales - they go straight on our beds after being washed and line dried. They brighten bedroom up so much. I am searching for some fun blue or yellow print ones right now to make curtains in our bedroom.

    1. How fun! They would be neat as curtains...and there's certainly enough fabric for it! Good luck!

  5. I'm not much of a seamstress but I buy vintage sheets all the time and use them on the beds if I can. However, if there's a big rip or stain or whatever, I can sew up a pillowcase and so I make sets of cheery pillowcases.

  6. I too love vintage sheets and fabric. I got four different sets at a yard sale last year for $1.00 each (queen sets!) and so far they were used for my daughter's 2nd birthday. We had a vintage girl theme so I used one as a tablecloth and cut up another to sew a pennant banner. This year I cut up another to cover some photobooks I made as Mother's Day presents for my mum and grandmother.
